JULIAN ASSANGE : THE FACE OF GLOBAL HACKTIVISM OR A DEMAGOGUE ?

JULIAN ASSANGE: THE FACE OF GLOBAL HACKTIVISM OR A DEMAGOGUE?

A LITTLE BUILDUP AND DRAMA.......

This is a little uncommon I don't write about these stuff that often, but for those of you who know me my previous posts would have been a little weird to see. Well, the reason behind me writing about Julian Assange is quite simple, I don't like someone like him being misportrayed by people. I know people who misportray him and WikiLeaks don't even have an iota of knowledge about the things that have happened. I don't blame them because at the end of the day that is how this shitty world works anyway.

The intention of this post is not to amuse you, but to provide the truth based on facts, I know that most of the people wouldn't even have cared to open the link that I had sent them of this post and the majority of them who opened it would have closed their browser's tab just after reading the first two lines. I mean come on what could have this lean timid guy who doesn't even look like someone who knows proper English possibly written in this post? Right? Sadly that's your limitation, Maybe you're capable of seeing people, but you don't have the power of seeing through them. Do you?

Here are some of his statements.....

Heroic statements, isn't it ?

WHERE THE ACTUAL STORY BEGINS......

In its earliest days, not even the inventors of the Internet and the World Wide Web would've thought that this was a game changer in the global market of communication. Fortunately, the Internet changed everything around us. I mean in the 90's no one would've even dreamt of ordering food through their computers, without internet there would've been no Mark Zuckerberg, without it there would've been no Sunny Leone for that matter ( Oh come on she stepped into Bollywood because of her overwhelming performances which were broadcasted in the Internet ). Even though the way in which internet is being used is the most debated topic in the past few decades, no one can ever deny the fact that it is the greatest invention of this century.

While kids these days are busy making people like Priya Prakash Varrier famous using the greatest invention of the century ( Really ? Just because her fucking eyes started dancing ?), there are few people who saw Internet's true potential, they tried to change the world with this magical tool. Unfortunately, we know the names of very few of them and the leading name in this list is Julian Assange.

ENOUGH OF YOUR PERCEPTION VARUN, WHO THE HELL IS JULIAN ASSANGE?

The short story.....

Ever heard about WikiLeaks? Well, he is the soul of that organization, he is the founder, editor in chief and the director of it.

The long story........

Have you ever heard people blaming America for its hypocrisy and saying that America is behind the destruction of many countries including Iraq and Syria? Well, they are not going blah blah blah in this matter because it is the truth which all of us came to know after WikiLeaks leaked the documents concerning this matter  WikiLeaks is an organization which consists of tons of hackers all over the world with a common interest of leaking the official documents of illegal activities carried out by the so-called elected bodies and elected candidates. Julian Assange founded this organization in 2006 where many of the global hacktivists joined him believing in his vision.

EARLY DAYS OF HIS LIFE AND OTHER SHITTY BOOOOOOORING STUFF.

I know what you're thinking, you don't know where your fucking life is heading and I'm telling you to read about someone else's life. This doesn't make any sense. Right? Anyhow your life doesn't make any sense either so just deal with it

(SOURCE: WIKIPEDIA )
Assange was born in Townsville, Queensland, to Christine Ann Hawkins a visual artist, and John Shipton, an anti-war activist and builder. The couple had separated before Assange was born.

In 1987, Assange began hacking under the name Mendax. He and two others—known as "Trax" and "Prime Suspect"—formed a hacking group they called the International Subversives. During this time, he hacked into the Pentagon and other U.S. Department of Defense facilities, MILNET, the U.S. Navy, NASA, and Australia's Overseas Telecommunications Commission; Citibank, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Panasonic, and Xerox; and the Australian National University, La Trobe University, and Stanford University's SRI International. He is thought to have been involved in the WANK (Worms Against Nuclear Killers) hack at NASA in 1989, but he does not acknowledge this.

In September 1991, Assange was discovered hacking into the Melbourne master terminal of Nortel, a Canadian multinational telecommunications corporation. The Australian Federal Police tapped Assange's phone line (he was using a modem), raided his home at the end of October, and eventually charged him in 1994 with thirty-one counts of hacking and related crimes. In December 1996, he pleaded guilty to twenty-five charges (the other six were dropped), was ordered to pay reparations of A$2,100 and released on a good behavior bond, avoiding a heavier penalty resulting from the perceived absence of malicious or mercenary intent and his disrupted childhood.

It looks like he was born to do this, he started hacking at the age where most of us didn't even know how to operate a computer. With his abilities, he could've had a peaceful and a luxurious life, but he was striving for change,. So, he busted his ass for one cause, that is to screw American administration in a way that no man has ever done before.

WIKILEAKS: WHERE THE SO-CALLED SUPERPOWER GOT KICKED IN THE NUTS

As I've already written above, WikiLeaks was founded in the year 2006, although they claim that their aim is to create transparency between the elected bodies and the public, all they've evidently done is leaking every fucking document that can insult the USA globally.

How the hell does WikiLeaks function?

1. You have a document/s that reveals corruption or anything of that sort from a government or an elected candidate.
2. You send it to WikiLeaks
3. They'll check its authenticity and publish it on their website.

Leaks that staggered the entire world......

There are more than 10 million documents on the official website of WikiLeaks, let's go through few of the most important ones here.

1. THE EMAIL OF HILARY CLINTON :

This shit changed the course of 2016 American Presidential elections, many believe that this leak is the main reason why Hilary Clinton lost the elections in 2016 and that monkey-faced hypocrite became the President of USA ( Really Americans ? A country with 32 crores of population and this guy is your leader ? And the irony here is that you call yourselves civilized and keep trolling other countries )

So, what exactly was in those leaked emails?

1. She was happy when a black kid was killed so that she could use his name for her election campaign.

2. Clinton foundation made a tie-up with media houses and it was to such an extent where the questions asked in the live debates were pre-planned in favor of her. Newspapers were re-edited by the Clinton foundation before being published.

3. She paid people to disrupt Trump campaign.

And, there are many other things you can find it in WikiLeaks official site

2. VAULT - 7

Ever seen a Science-fiction movie where some intelligence agency has control over people's smart electronic devices? Do you think it's just fiction?  Well, sadly and unfortunately you're wrong.

These documents revealed how the CIA ( Central Intelligence Agency ) collaborated with the British Intelligence to engineer a way by which a smart television can be used as surveillance device ( And you guys think that they can't spy you through your mobile phones and computers).

3. IRAQ APACHE HELICOPTER ATTACK  (SOURCE: TELEGRAPH )

Horrifying video footage showing 15 people including two Reuters journalists being shot dead by a US Army Apache helicopter gunman, taken from the helicopter's gun camera, appalled the world when it was released on Wikileaks.

The crew was heard laughing at the "dead b-----ds" and saying "light 'em up!" and "keep shooting, keep shooting".

The US military has refused to discipline the helicopter's crew, saying that there were "insurgents and reporters in an area where US forces were about to be ambushed.

4. HOW TO STOP LEAKS DOCUMENT

This document is ironically the funniest document ever released by WikiLeaks

In a delightful twist, a British military manual - the Defence Manual of Security, or Joint Services Protocol 440 (JSP440) - specifically dealing with how best to avoid leaks was leaked onto the site in 2016

It warned that the Chinese have a voracious appetite for all kinds of information; political, military, commercial, scientific and technical and that spying is no longer like "the novels of John Le Carre".

Journalists are listed in the document as one of the "threats" to security, alongside foreign intelligence services, criminals, terrorist groups and disaffected staff. In an even more self-referential moment, a Pentagon document naming Wikileaks itself as a threat to national security was leaked - to Wikileaks.

There are a lot of documents in WikiLeaks you can find it on their official site

WHEN NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION ACTED UPON JULIAN ASSANGE........

Even though many may argue that he did the right thing, whatever he did was certainly illegal. Every action comes with a consequence and for what he had done we can't expect him to get a Noble peace prize. He tried to mess with the American administration and guess what, they pushed back and they pushed back hard.

The CIA or the NSA wasn't much bothered about this WikiLeaks and shit till the documents related to Vault-7 was released, this was the matter that was supposed to be a top secret but WikiLeaks somehow pulled it out.

What happened next?

Countless legal charges, in numerous death threats, murder attempts.

I don't have enough knowledge or patience to write about the legal charges that are put against him, you can find it on Wikipedia, if you want to read it or else skip to the next part, it's gonna be boring anyways.

THE INTERESTING PART: LET'S KNOW ABOUT THE FUCKING AWESOME TITLE THAT I GAVE TO THIS POST.

Is he the face of global hactkivism ? Or is he a demagogue?

So first of all what the hell does hactkivism and demagogue mean?

Hacktivism: Trying to change something in the society / protesting against something wrong in the society through the way of hacking.

Demagogue: Someone who is misleading people for his own benefit.

So, to which category does Julian Assange belong?

To answer this question let's take a quick recap at 2016 U.S Presidential elections, here's how the story goes.

1. It was almost clear that Hilary Clinton would win the 2016 U.S Presidential elections.

2. Then baaaaaaaam WikiLeaks leaked her email documents.

3. The next thing we know is that Donald Trump taking the formal oath as the President of America.

So, why did I tell this story again? WikiLeaks leaked Hilary Clinton's documents. Fine, creating transparency between the about to become authority and the public was their aim, nothing bad in that. But where the hell was documents related to Donald Trump'? Even he was the candidate, what good can a biased transparency bring?

So, how did Hilary's email documents got leaked?

It was certainly not an inside job, whoever did it, did it remotely.

Now, the question is, Who hacked her documents?

Well, it was done by the Russian hackers, who then submitted it to WikiLeaks which got an instant approval to be published on their main site.

Now comes a little scary part, in that 10 million documents that WikiLeaks has released not even 50 documents are related to Russia, I mean I can't find the logic here, Russia is like the home of corruption, but all WikiLeaks has released about Russia is 50 shitty documents, which is so worthless that if a hardcopy is taken of it we can only use it instead of tissue paper, there is no other use of those papers.

So what was Julian Assange's agenda? Transparency, right? But what has he done? Biased transparency. We all know the rivalry between Russia and America, through his actions he has made it very clear that he is on the side of Russia.

Now, is he the face of Global Hacktivism?

Hell no, No doubt that his accomplishments should be respected by each and every one of us, he did try to bring a change, but somewhere in the middle he lost his way and Moreover we do have an awesome face for Global Hacktivism

It's The Anonymous. Even though they've helped WikiLeaks in leaking many documents, they were never ever biased, the face that we see above not only represents Hactivism but it also represents humanity (they've proven it countless times). And above all the things that they've done for the society is beyond what we can imagine.

Is he a demagogue?

Sadly yes, I don't know about the early days of WikiLeaks, but all they've done after 2015 is biased journalism, just like all other media, they are trying to mislead people maybe for their own profit. And Julian Assange is the only man responsible for this.

WHAT NEXT FOR JULIAN ASSANGE AND WIKILEAKS?

With the number of legal charges that are put against him, I don't think he'll ever walk out as a free man, in fact, there are very high chances that he'll face life imprisonment.

About WikiLeaks. I don't think it will function in a way that it used to in the past, that's because the intelligence agencies have found out where the main WikiLeaks server is, moreover they know the crew members of WikiLeaks who are being spied for any unusual activities.

Ufffffffffff. Well, that's it about this shit, let us meet again if I ever write an article again in the future.
