JAWAHARLAL NEHRU: THE FIRST WORST DISASTER TO HIT INDIA AFTER INDEPENDENCE

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU: THE FIRST WORST DISASTER TO HIT INDIA AFTER INDEPENDENCE

As we all know the history books in our education system have always tried to hide some part of our history, there are many reasons behind this, but it is always important to know about every part of history if you want to get a clear image about everything that had happened in the past.

The past always affects the present and the future, especially when it comes to the history of a country it always affects the present and the future generations

If you are looking to blame someone for India still being a developing country you can always make a list of people who are responsible for it, no matter on what basis you are making that list the first person in that list will always be Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

Now let us learn about the first worst disaster to hit India after its independence

WHO WAS JAWAHARLAL NEHRU

For those Alia Bhatts who are reading this article who have no idea who Jawaharlal Nehru was here's a small introduction

Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14th, 1889 in Allahabad,he was the so-called leader of Indian Independence Movement (he was just the right hand of Mahatma Gandhi )he was the first prime minister of India,he was also rewarded Bharat Ratna in the year 1955 (it's a funny story we will discuss this later ) and was referred too as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Chacha Nehru (by children ).Finally, he died at the age of 74 that is on May 27th, 1964 (The reason for his death will be explained later )

That's all the basic details you need to know about  Jawaharlal Nehru

WHY JAWAHARLAL NEHRU HAS BEEN REFLECTED AS A ROLE MODEL IN SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS

Before knowing why Jawaharlal Nehru was a disaster to India, let us first know why Indian history textbooks have always shown a different angle of Indian history.

We know that most of the Indian schools belong to one of the following boards.

1. CBSE: Which stands for Central Board of Secondary Education, it was formed in the year 1962(note the year). Most of the Indian schools are affiliated with this board. This board was formed by the government and is still being controlled by the government

2. ICSE: Stands for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education which was formed in the year 1958(again note the year). Many schools are affiliated with this board. This board was formed by a non-government organization

3)State boards: In this case, the education ministry in the state has the freedom to create the syllabus

As we have noted above ICSE and CBSE were formed during the period of Jawaharlal Nehru being the Prime Minister, one thing I forgot to tell you about Jawaharlal Nehru is that he always wanted to be framed as a political hero even though he had no single quality of being a political hero.

Now what will a person of such mindset do when he himself has the power of deciding what the future generations of India will study about history, Obviously he will try everything in his power to ensure that he and his supporters are reflected as heroes and his opponents are not even mentioned or negatively framed in those books.

Now there are two questions that come to our mind

Why do most of the state education boards also mention him as a hero?

Again most of the state education boards were formed during 1960's, it is the era where Congress ruled most states of India who followed the orders of Jawaharlal Nehru

Why haven't other governments which ruled India tried to revise the history books with true history?

First thing, they have many more things to worry about, other than changing the syllabus of school children
Second thing. It will create a political drama as most of the people who are unaware of the true history believe the current history textbooks are providing true information.

Now we know the reason why people like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru are often mentioned as heroes and true heroes like Veer Damodar Savarkar, Bhagat Singh, and Subhas Chandra Bose are hardly even mentioned in the textbooks.

THE REASON WHY JAWAHARLAL NEHRU IS REFERRED AS PANDIT

There is a misconception about why Nehru has been referred as Pandit, many history books, and textbooks mention that it is because he was a highly intellectual and learned person. For those who believe it to be true Dr. BR Ambedkar was more intellectual and learned personality, then why isn't he called Pandit?

The real reason that he is referred as Pandit is that he belongs to a Kashmiri Pandit family (who moved to Allahabad later). that is, Pandit is a surname of the sub-caste of Kashmiri Pandits

But during the process of making him a hero, they even used his name to their advantage.

HOW WAS NEHRU SELECTED AS THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF INDEPENDENT INDIA

Before the East India Company transferred the power to Congress in the year 1947,there was a election held in the month of April 1946, at this time everyone knew that the British would transfer the power to Congress within next 2 years and whoever was the President of the Congress at that time was likely to be named as the Prime Minister.(As Congress won the general elections in 1946).

During the election, there were two nominees (actually there were three but Maulana Azad was forbidden from contesting by Gandhi as he was the President of Congress from 1940-1946)

1. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
2. Jawaharlal Nehru

In every aspect, Sardar Patel was better than Nehru and 12 out 15 members of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) voted for Sardar Patel. But Nehru always wanted the power, and he went to Gandhi and requested him to do something.

Sardar Patel always respected Gandhi and his words, when Nehru went to Gandhi begging for power Gandhi told Sardar Patel to withdraw his nomination, as Sardar Patel respected Gandhi he accepted to withdraw the nomination

Now as there were no contestants the Committee unwillingly elected Jawaharlal Nehru as the President of Congress

When British transferred the power to Congress, Nehru automatically became the Prime Minister of India and during the first elections in 1951-1952 there were no political parties which were as strong as Congress

THE REASON WHY HE IS CALLED AS CHACHA AND WHY HIS BIRTHDAY IS CELEBRATED AS CHILDREN'S DAY

Actually, children loved him, do you wanna know what type of children
-His Children
-His Grandchildren
-His Great Grandchildren
(I stole this joke from a forum, please don't think that I've copy-pasted the entire thing from somewhere I've put a lot of efforts in writing this 😃)

Nehru (along with V Krishna Menon) used a great strategy by which he will be remembered forever, the strategy was to shift the children's day which was celebrated in October back then to November 14th which was the birthday of Nehru.

Even though officially Nov 14th was declared as children's day in 1964 it was preplanned to do it after his death

To support what they've done they made up something like his love to children, and he was called Chacha etc

HOW HE WAS AWARDED BHARATH RATNA

This is by far one of the biggest jokes in our history

To those who don't know Nehru was awarded Bharath Ratna in the year 1955,

Now let us know how Bharat Ratna is awarded

"Recommendations for the award can only be made by the Prime Minister of India to the President with a maximum number of three nominees being awarded per year" (Copy pasted as it is , that is written in the Wikipedia page of Bharat Ratna )

Now it is clear that the recipients of Bharat Ratna is selected by prime minister and is awarded to that individual upon the approval of the President

Well, Who was the Prime Minister of India in the year 1955 when Jawaharlal Nehru was awarded Bharat Ratna ?. It is none other than Jawaharlal Nehru

So to summarize Nehru being the Prime Minister recommended Nehru as the only recipient of Bharat Ratna in the year 1955 the poor President had no other option but to approve the recipient and Nehru was awarded Bharat Ratna based on his own recommendation

I think this is enough to show the cheap mindset of Nehru.

MISTAKES MADE BY NEHRU

I can't spend the whole week writing about his mistakes I'll just mention few important ones

1.TAKING THE KASHMIR ISSUE TO UN

History of Kashmir in short

Just like other states of India the king of Kashmir Hari Singh had three choices.
1.To join India
2.To join Pakistan or
3.To be an Independent state

At first,Hari Singh chose to make Kashmir a Independent state, knowing this Pakistan tried to capture Kashmir through their military forces, at that time Sardar Patel and Hari Singh came to an agreement that if Indians agree to save Kashmir against Pakistan  through their military forces,he would agree to migrate Kashmir with India (provided that they give a special status to Kashmir )

Nehru's mistake

After its independence obviously the entire world had an eye on India, Nehru always was looking for an opportunity to show to the world that he is the peaceful leader of the peaceful country

When Sardar Patel and Hari Singh made an agreement about Kashmir. Nehru because of his intention of being recognized globally dragged this issue to the UN

Result: India and Pakistan are still fighting for Kashmir

2. BLINDLY TRUSTING CHINA AS A FRIENDLY NATION TO INDIA

It is because of his blind belief that China is a friendly nation of India, we lost Aksai Chin during the war in 1962

To be honest, it's not only the fault of Nehru, the true villain of 1962 war was V Krishna Menon who was the defense minister of India back then, he had a communal background just like China so he blindly trusted them

Because of this blind belief even though the army chief B. M. Kaul informed Nehru that there might be future threats from China and to increase the army budget Nehru ignored his advice.

During the war, even though Indian air force was stronger than Chinese air force at that time,he never ordered to use the air force in the war

Result: India lost the 1962 war against China losing Aksai Chin

THE DEATH OF NEHRU

How it is written in the history books: After the 1962 war his health began declining due to the betrayal of China and finally he died due to a heart attack on 27th may 1964

The Truth: The Truth is that he died of a sexually transmitting disease but this thing was not officially mentioned anywhere as it would affect the pride of India
This thing was not known to anyone until the diary of his wife was publicly available and this thing was clearly mentioned there, after that even the doctor who treated him also confirmed the same
Some claim it is a  rumor spread by RSS to degrade congress party. It is up to you to believe in whatever reason you want to believe keeping in mind about his history

Oh! Almost forgot to tell you that he had an affair with Lady Mountbatten

This is all about the first worst disaster to hit India after Independence.
